About Us

Paris 2018 (top) and 2005 (bottom)

We’re Paul and Stephanie Thurrott. We fell in love with Europe on our first visit in 1993, when we explored London, Paris, and Ireland. In 2006, we discovered home exchanges — and found a way we could afford to spend several weeks in Europe every summer. We’ve been swapping our house and living like temporary locals ever since.

Paul is an award-winning technology journalist working for BWW Media Group, the author of 30 books, and part of the podcasting teams behind Windows Weekly, What the Tech, and First Ring Daily. He is also a Google Local Guide with nearly 7 million photo views.

Steph is a writer and content creator who covers health and lifestyle topics for NBC News Better, Considerable, and other outlets.
